Manufactured from rigid materials the body is Phenolic, a composite resin created from phenol and aldehyde making it durable, flame retardant and able to endure high temperatures (Temperature rating (RTI): 150°C). The crimp itself is copper, Tin-Plated ensuring longevity and accepts 16 to 12 AWG copper wire.

Specifications:

IP64 rating for exposed locations, Water-resistant with a voltage rating of 250V and a current rating of 20A.

Features and Benefits:

• High temperature, flame retardant, phenolic meets UL 94 HB
• Crimp terminal
• Water-resistant for exposed locations

How does an inline fuse holder work?

Inline fuse holders are called inline as they are fitted in to a cable rather than in a piece of equipment. As fuses are usually replaceable, most fuse holders have a connection system designed to allow the fuse to be changed quickly with ease. Simply put they are an enclosure or housing that hold the fuse in a wiring circuit allowing it to do it's job of protecting against power overloads, the fuse itself will either cause the wire to heat up and melt or burn itself out to protect the remaining circuit.

Applications:

In-line fuse holders are used in a wide range of electrical and electronic applications. Some of the most common are
• Electrical appliances and devices
• Automotive
• Portable electronics
• LCD Monitors
• DVD players
• Game systems
• Laptops
• Printers
• Battery packs
