Pushbutton Transmitter Module PTM 210

The PTM 210 ISM-band self-powered radio transmitter module enables the implementation of wireless remote controls without batteries. Power is provided by a built-in electro-dynamic power generator (energy harvester). When the energy bow is pushed down, electrical energy is created and a RF telegram is transmitted including a 32-bit module ID. Releasing the energy bow generates different telegram data, so every PTM telegram contains the information that the bow was pressed or released. In addition, the radio telegram transmits the operating status of 4 contact nipples when activating the bow.

Integral Electro-dynamic Power Generator
Integrated PCB antenna
Operating frequency: 868.3MHz
Modulation: ASK
Data rate: 125kbps
No of channels: 2 with 4 action states each (upper/lower pushbutton is pressed/released)
EnOcean Equipment Profile supported: EEP F6-02-xx, F6-04-xx
Transmission range: 300m free field, 30m indoors
Energy bow travel / Operating force: 1.8mm / 8N (typical at room temperature)
Lifetime at 25°C: 100000 actuations (typical) tested according to EN 60669 / VDE 0632
Dimensions: 40 x 40 x 11.2mm
Operating temperature range: - 25 to +65°C
Applications: wall-mounted flat rocker switches with 1 or 2 rockers (with medial position), handheld remote controls with up to 4 single pushbuttons, switch sensing for the Internet of Things (IoT).

Batteryless Wireless Applications

EnOcean manufacture a range of transmitter and receiver products that operate in the 868MHz area of the ISM band. These devices are typically very efficient in terms of the power supply requirements and are used to send short messages.,The advantages of EnOcean technology are clearly illustrated through applications such as electrical control which eliminates the need for external wired connections and batteries.,Suitable for limitless applications where maintenance free and flexible switching needs to be installed without drilling, cabling and reconstruction costs.,Power in the transmitters is also created for "FREE" using energy harvesting techniques to create energy from the push button switches or solar power for its sensors transmitters.,Radio systems based around EnOcean technology can be formed into star, mesh, or hybrid topology networks, and are a good complement to ZigBee systems, typically in building automation and remote sensor applications.
