Crypto Authentication Demo Kit

Microchips AT88CK590 is a crypto-authentication device that allows you to evaluate performance and applicability of the Microchip crypto-authentication devices. On-board is ATAES132A (AES), ATSHA204A (SHA) and ATECC508A (ECC), also included is a 16MHz crystal. This board has a USB 2.0 with full speed interface for great speed and ease of use. Simply plug this device into your host PC, load ACES software and begin evaluating. At the back of the board is a 5-pin that is used to monitor I2C protocol. The AT88CK590 also includes 3 LED's to indicate successful power on, whenever the board powers up it runs a small test before showing 3 blue LEDs.

Features and Benefits:

  • USB 2.0 with full speed interface for effortless use

  • 3 Authentication methods – AES, SHA and ECC

  • 1x Power LED with 3x status LEDs

  • Protective ABS case with USB lid

ATAES132A (AES)

AES is a hardware-based key storage. It boasts superior speeds and great security with serial 32Kb EEPROM that enables authentication and confidential data storage. ATAES132A implements Advanced Encryption Standard cryptography. Restrictions for 16-user zones can be manually tweaked and configured and any key can be used with any zone. Keys can also be used for standalone authentication.

ATSHA204A (SHA)

ATSHA204A is a cost effective and great crypto auth. Hardware-based key storage allows for flexible user-configured security to enable a variety of applications. ATSHA204A also has built in cryptographic algorithms that allows you to easily design them in without having expertise in cryptography. This authentication utilises 256-bit secure has (SHA-256) and has 4.5Kb EEPROM for secure key and data storage.

ATECC108A (ECC)

ATECC108A fully supports 256-but Ellipctic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and has no need for secure storage in the host. This authentication includes EEPROM array for storage of 16 keys, misc read/write, read-only or secret data, consumption logging and security configurations. ATECC108A has defence mechanisms to prevent physical attacks on the device or MITM (Man in the middle) attacks.
