ATSMARTPLUG-EU Smart Plug Reference Design

The Smart Plug is a WiFi-enabled mains power plug that can be controlled in three ways: locally using the capacitive touch button, via a Smartphone or by using scheduled on/off timing.

• SAMW25 WiFi module with WINC1500 SoC and SAMD21 MCU
• On-board Smart Energy ATM90E26 device for power and energy metering
• On-board AC-DC and DC-DC converters for circuit power
• Embedded security protocols such as TLS, and network services (TCP/IP stack)
• Power and WiFi Status LEDs
• QTouch capacitive touch ON/OFF/RESET button
• 10-pin SWD header for program/debug of Cortex-M0+ SAMD21 controller
• Over-the-Air-Upgrade (OTAU) upgrade of WINC1500 firmware
• Mains relay contact rating: 10A @ 220Vac
• Mains supply input: 90 to 265Vac @ 50/60Hz
• Application: On/Off remote control of home appliances via the Internet
