Optically Encoded Rotary Selector Switches
These quadrature-encoded, panel-mounted rotary selector switches offer an alternative to traditional rotary switches. Optically-coupled encoding provides a non-contact switching function offering high reliability, low noise and long life. Typical applications for these rotary selector switches include instrumentation, control and other man-machine interface applications.

A volt-free N/O switch, operated by pushing the shaft end, is provided

Two options are offered - the metal bushed variety 279-5558 & 279-5542 having a superior "feel" to the plastic bushed variety 289-4481 & 289-5872
These devices are ideal for instrumentation, control or other man-machine interface applications
