Product details

AD828x Automotive Radar Receive Path AFE: LNA/PGA/AAF + ADC

The AD828x Analogue Front End (AFE) device is designed for low cost, low power, compact size, flexibility, and ease of use. It features up to six channels each containing a low-noise preamplifier (LNA), a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and an anti-aliasing filter (AAF) plus one direct-to-ADC channel, all integrated with a single 12-bit ADC. Automotive applications include: ADAS, Adaptive cruise control, Collision avoidance, Blind-spot detection, Self-parking, Electronic bumpers.

• No of Channels with differential inputs: 4 (AD8285), 6 (AD8283), plus one direct to ADC
• PGA gain programmed via SPI port: +16dB to +34dB in 6dB steps
• AAF (3rd-order low-pass elliptic filter) cut-off frequency programmed via SPI port: 1.0MHz to 12MHz
• ADC: 12-bit @ 72MSPS, spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR): 68dB with 16dB gain
• Power-down mode
• Power supply: Separate +1.8V and +3.3V supplies for Analogue and Digital supply pins
• Operating Temperature Range: -40 to +105°C
• Automotive qualified to AEC-Q100
