LAN8820 10/100/1000 Ethernet Transceivers
Microchips LAN8820 is a Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver IC with a RGMII Interface that fully complies with IEEE 802.3 and 802.3ab. It contains a full-duplex transceiver for 1000Mbps operation and can be configured to communicate with an Ethernet MAC.
Also featured is HPs Auto MDIX, a technology that automatically correctly configures the device node when connected to another LAN device; this removes the need for specialised crossover cables.
Features
Single-Chip Ethernet PHY
Compliant with IEEE 802.3ab (1000BASE-T), IEEE 802.3u (Fast Ethernet) and IEEE 802.3 (10BASE-T)
RGMII Interface
HP Auto-MDIX Support
Reduced Power Operating Modes
Integrated DSP: Drives an Adaptive Equalizer, Echo Cancellers and Crosstalk Cancellers
