Product details

Phoenix Contact TRIO DIODE Redundancy Module

The din rail mounting, Trio Diode redundancy modules from Phoenix contact are designed to isolate parallel-switched PSU’s. Using the redundancy module prevents short circuits affecting the load by checking the wiring from the power supply to the diode.
Using the redundancy module, it is possible for two power supply units of the same type connected in parallel on the output side to increase performance or for redundancy to be 100% isolated from one another.

Features and Benefits

• 100% decoupling of power supply units connected in parallel
• Supports currents up to 30A
• Easy installation by snapping onto the DIN rail
• Reverse polarity protection
• Consistent redundancy up to the load
• Robust design
• Saves space as only 18 mm wide

Typical Applications

The redundant systems are mainly used where the system places a high demand on operational reliability. The PSU must be big enough that the total current requirements of all loads are met by one power supply unit.
