This DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) rail PID (proportional integral derivative) temperature controller from the RS PRO range is a device that uses a control loop mechanism to regulate process temperatures.
Basic heating devices perform a binary (on-off) switching function, which can lead to overshoots and lag. PID controllers are more sophisticated, using a mathematical formula to ensure process temperature remains as close to the user setpoint as possible.
This temperature limiter is easy to install and fast to set up with an easy-to-read OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display and quick setup menu. Once youve entered a setpoint, the controller uses feedback from a built-in sensor to limit the process temperature of connected equipment.
Designed to offset sudden fluctuations, this DIN-rail PID temperature controller is a great choice for applications where secondary temperature limit protection is required. The DIN rail mount provides more flexibility than panel-mounted alternatives.
