Product Details
This Interface converter connects a USB host to serial RS232 equipment, enabling communication between modern PCs and legacy devices in desktop environments. It accepts a USB Type-A connection and provides a single D-sub serial output, allowing users in automation, electronics, electrical and mechanical fields to integrate serial peripherals with systems that support USB 1.1/2.0.
It is compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 hosts through a USB Type-A receptacle, allowing connection to a wide range of PCs and industrial controllers.
The device outputs via a D-sub connector that implements RS232 signalling for direct connection to serial ports on industrial devices.
There is a single serial port, intended for point-to-point links where one RS232 device is required.
The converter supports up to 921.6kbps, suitable for demanding serial data transfers.
The design is for desktop use, making it appropriate for bench work and workstation setups rather than rack installations.
