The ejector latches enable a secure connection to and easy removal from the mating IDC ribbon cable receptacle connectors. These AMP-LATCH PCB ribbon cable header connectors are available with a long or short latch style

Part numbers X-1761608-X and X-1761609-X have short latches
Connectors with long latches mate with receptacle connectors without strain relief. Connectors with short latches mate with receptacle connectors with strain relief.
