testo 417 Large Area Vane Anemometer with Temperature Measurement
From Testo, the 417 large area rotating vane anemometer designed for measuring airspeed, air velocity and temperature. The hand-held meter provides fast, accurate readings at ventilation ducts, air grilles and air outlets. Constructed from tough ABS impact resistant plastic the robust handheld meter is the ideal instrument for service engineers, HVAC technicians and building inspectors.
Compact in design, the handheld digital anemometer uses a precision 100mm rotating vane sensor and built-in NTC thermistor to deliver readings with a high degree of accuracy. The 417 anemometer records wind speed from 0.3 to 20 m/s (therefore calculating volume from 0 to 99999 m³/h), while the NTC air temperature sensor range goes from 0 to 50 °C. Additionally, the Testo 417 anemometer has the ability to detect and display the direction of flow, i.e. blown or drawn, a welcome feature for HVAC performance testing. The device also features other advanced measurement features including mean and timed point average calculation, minimum and maximum values and data hold.
An easy to navigate keypad and soft control buttons make the Testo 417 handheld anemometer incredibly easy to use. With minimal effort the user can select the function to be measured, the mode you wish to record and the unit the data will be shown. With a large backlit LCD display, all collected data is clearly shown on the front screen, even in low light conditions. A handy auto-off feature also helps to conserve battery life.
