The Things Node for IoT Sensor Networks
The Things Node by The Things Network is a wireless microcontroller board suitable for prototyping IoT ideas without the need for separate breadboards, wires and sensors. It is based on the SparkFun Pro Micro with a Microchip LoRa wireless transceiver module, embedded antenna and a selection of sensors. All packaged in a matchbox-sized waterproof casing. The Arduino library comes with a class specifically written for The Things Node. It is designed for use with a LoRaWAN compliant network.
• 8MHz ATmega32U4 MCU with 32KB Flash memory, 2.5KB RAM, 1KB EEPROM
• On-board 868MHz Microchip RN2483 LoRa transceiver module
• Range up to 10km/6 miles
• MMA8652 3-axis accelerometer
• NOA1212 Light sensor
• MCP9204 Temperature sensor
• User pushbutton
• User RGB LED
• Recognised by Arduino IDE as a SparkFun Pro Micro
• Power supply: 3 x AAA alkaline batteries
