Product details
XS9 Series Inductive Proximity Sensors - Stainless Steel 303
The XS9 series of inductive proximity sensors have unique one-piece housing, machined from 303 stainless steel solid bars, the housing is extremely resistant to mechanical shocks and vibrations. This range of inductive proximity sensors are ideal for use in harsh industrial environments and well suited for applications such as metal processing machines, automotive and machining. The Factor 1 sensing feature of these sensors allows both ferrous and non-ferrous materials to be detected from the same distance.
Features.
- Cylindrical design
- High switching frequency
- Flush and non flush versions available
- Stainless steel 303 front face
- Three wire DC, solid stare output
- LED indication
- Reverse polarity, overload and short circuit protection
Telemecanique Inductive Proximity Sensors XS.
Telemecanique Inductive Proximity Sensors XS series allow you to detect all types of objects in all applications providing high detection performance for metal objects. This inductive sensor range with industry recognised high performing technology provide non-contact detection of material up to 20 mm. Inductive proximity sensors are available in flush and non-flush models (shielded and non-shielded).
OsiSense inductive proximity sensors are purely for detecting any metal objects up to 60 mm and include an oscillator with windings (an alternating magnetic field is generated in front) making up the sensing phase.
How do they work and where can I use them?
Inductive proximity sensors contain a coil and an oscillator, these create an electromagnetic field close to the sensing surface. When metal enters this field, a change occurs in the oscillating amplitude. This, in turn, changes the sensor output, showing you and equipment that metal has been sensed. Inductive proximity sensors are suitable for use most industries. Inductive sensors are unaffected by oil, dirt or surface finish and can be used in high vibration and high shock areas.
Applications.
- Railway. Mobile equipment. Lists and escalators. Hoisting. Material handling, conveying, logistics.
- Material working, machine tools. Packaging. Food and beverage. Robotics.
