STAR-RING Snap Ferrite with Security Lock

STAR-RING snap ferrite sleeves from Wurth Elektronik feature a prefixing cable system that ensures a quick and easy cable assembly process. A security lock prevents unauthorised removal of the snap ferrite from the cable. The use of this key technology allows STAR-RING ferrite sleeves to be reusable, ideal for cables with difficult access or for test and measurement purposes. Suitable applications include external and internal computer power and data cables

Please note, the STAR-TEC key (74721) is sold separately. Refer to 815-0021 to order the key.

UL94-V0 plastic casing
Simple attachment to cables that are already installed or provided with plug connectors
Improved plastic housing with new snap lock for increased contact pressure
Reliable and long-lasting special locking feature easy to open with appropriate key
Higher impedance values broad band up to 1 GHz
Extra eye for screw attachment
Flat housing for attachment with double-sided adhesive tape

Applications

Protection from HF interference on power supply line, interface cables for computers, network components, digital cameras, DVD, video equipments and measurement/control/regulating segments

Split Ferrite Rings

These split ferrite cores reduce the electromagnetic interference from being induced in or radiated from data and power cables. High attenuation ratings are achieved with the housing design and the special process steps during the ferrite manufacture. The special snap lock makes the ferrite sleeve suitable for use with a variety of cable diameters and once the split ferrite is locked it cannot be opened accidentally. The outer housing is designed to protect the halves of the core from breakage and ensures simple assembly on to cables that are already installed or which have been fitted with connectors. Fixing to the cable with glue or cable tie is optional. Typical applications for these split ferrite cores include data or power lines used in computer technology, terminals, industrial controllers, medical engineering and office machines.
